Buy Dynamite (about $25, sold from Island 2 onward), park the boat floating on open water, place or throw the stick directly under the hull, and detonate it. The blast launches the boat into the air and unlocks the achievement I'm the bird now. The boat survives — it is a physics gag, not a destruction system.

💡 Your own death does not void the achievement — even if the blast kills you mid-launch, the boat going airborne still counts.

• A boat — any boat, engines do not matter: this is pure physics, not thrust.
• Dynamite, about $25 a stick from the Island 2+ general store.
• Open water deep enough that the boat is floating freely (beached boats do not fly).

The classic route: equip the dynamite, light the fuse, and place it under the hull with the drop/throw key (Q) — then sprint out of blast range and watch the launch. The fuse timer is short, so set up the boat position before you light anything.

For precise placement: drop an unlit dynamite stick directly beneath the boat's center, back off, and shoot the stick to detonate it on your schedule. Any ranged weapon works — a pistol round is enough; you do not need to waste shotgun shells on demolition duty.

💡 Under the keel, not beside it — an offset blast rolls the boat over instead of launching it.

• Boat must be afloat — a boat resting on shore or shallow rock absorbs the blast without flying.
• Directly underneath matters more than distance — the explosion needs to catch the flat of the hull.
• The boat flies far and lands somewhere random — you did not lose it, walk the shoreline or swim out and sail it back.
• If nothing happened, you probably detonated too far from the hull — get the stick touching the boat's shadow on the water.
